Anti-Virus Test

I like to test out different Anti-virus programs before my clients do. That way I can make recommend them the right products for their needs and budget.

Lately I have been testing Avira AntiVirĀ® PersonalEdition Classic and I am pleased with the results for a free AV package. The only complaints that I have are that it seems to scan my emails a little slower than some paid products and the nag screen that comes up when it updates every 3 days.

The level of protection is more than adequate and it will install when some other not-free programs will not on a particularly troublesome PC.

  1. All Anti-Virus programs do the same. Hope someday someone will create a program that does not slow our computers.

Its better not to use an antivirus program if you have just a PC with nothing much in it. I mean no important stuff. Its better to keep a virus rather than slowing the system.

  3. I am disagreed with ashutosh, Every Anti-virus program is different than other dude. Each program has a particular way.
