LED Lights For Xmas
We switched over to LED Christmas lights last year. The new LED mini lights are so much more efficient than the old incandescent bulbs, and they last 50,000 or more hours. No more spending 6 hours trying to figure out which bulb is out every year.
These LED Christmas tree lights run much cooler than a standard bulb so they are much safer than older-style bulbs. They run just 1 degree over the current room temperature so they are basically cool to the touch. That’s another nice feature if you have kids or kids visit during the Holidays.
The uses for this new LED technology are cropping up all over the place. We had them installed around the bottom edge of our deck railing to light the deck with ambient soft light during a late even get-together. The installer was even able to make bends and splits that were impossible older style lights.
Also, when you use these LED mini lights as your LED Xmas lights, you can attach them end to end for distances of up to ½ mile. Even I can get good coverage on the tree when I have that many lights available to me.

Tired of getting out the Christmas lights every year and finding they don’t work because half of the bulbs are broken? Tired of the endless chore of hunting down & changing bulbs as they go out over the duration of the holidays?
Do you live in California or Washington and pay so much for power you can no longer afford to put up lights anymore? Then these are for you: A fairly ordinary looking set of Christmas lights that have colored LEDs instead of bulbs. They run cool and the bulbs never pop, and the whole set uses just a few watts of your precious electricity.

The ones on our deck are on year-round on a light-sensitive switch. They cost so little to run and put out such a great light. If you haven’t thought of it, give them a try next summer, at least.
